Blackrock Castle Observatory
It looks like a castle, and maybe parts of it were at one stage. But now its a small observatory and Science Museum full of fascination for kids. It's got a great cafe too and a unique outlook as it 'guards' a bend in the river Lee just before the port of Cork.
